A promising rookie who has played mainly at 3rd base but will be back at second for the Series.
Knows the game and played 2nd base until his 2nd year midget.
Range is limited but can turn 2 with the best of them.
Offensively will put the ball in play and work pitchers

A slick fielding 2nd baseman who has range and an accurate arm.

Advantage Gold

Short Stop

Kevin Dion: Green
Arguably the best player in the league.
Has played great short for the Saints for 2 seasons with fine range and a plus arm .
Makes every play and some he shouldn't make.
Offensively he swings from both sides and is flirting with a 400 average.
Runs well and leads on offence and defence.
Has made a statement for OCAA player of the year.

Tommy Cheng: Gold
A recent addition from Hong Kong
He shows signs of brilliance on defense but is in the midst of learning the St. Clair system.
His arm appears to be a question mark but time will tell.
Offensively he squares up a lot of balls and runs well enough to say his speed is a weapon.

Advantage Green

Third Base

Tyler Lansley Green
A Rookie from Newmarket where he was a team mate of Kevin Dion
Has struggled for playing time but has shown well when given the chance.
Adequate glove with limited range
Has been feeling his way as he works hard to improve.
Offensively shows signs of power, the coaching staff feels there is more there but time will tell.

Max Ayarza Gold

A slick fielder from Panama with a fine arm and great range,
Offensively the former OCAA player of the year dives balls and hits for power.
Has had a long lay-off and getting himself back to playing condition.

Advantage Gold

Catcher

Patrick Kibble: Green
A converted infielder who has taken the position in stride.
Has a good arm and pop time.
Controls the game back there and plays with energy
offensively he has figured out how to hit to all fields and has helped his offensive output.

Matt Brooks Gold
Has had a slow start but has come on recently.

Offensively he has struggles but hit a huge homerun vs Fanshawe and looks ready to break out.
He handles the pitching staff very well with his receiving and blocking.

Advantage Green

Center Field

Darian Gray Green

This weekend is his chance to get some reps and show his stuff.

Advantage Coin toss

Advantage Gold

PITCHING MATCHUPS:

Friday

Michael Beal Green
Has been a strength all season out of the bullpen
The big righthander has been dominating if almost unhittable.
The question mark will be his endurance as he is asked to start game 1 for the Green
If Green has to go early to the bullpen it may set the tone for the series.

Micha Harris
Has been consistant this season on some ocassions he has bent but didn't break.
He is coming off maybe his career best performance last Friday in London v Fanshawe
a 4-0 4 hit shut out in dominating fashion

This could be a big test as he yet to be called on to throw 7 innings.

Garik Godard Gold

A crafty lefthander who has has nothing but success on the mound in 2 seasons for the saints.
He hasn't Thrown much due to being a position player and the Saints pitching depth, this could be a factor.

He also will be on 3 days rest coming off a 6 inning shutout v Fanshawe Wednesday.

Advantage Cointoss

Has struggled to throw strikes and that being said has seen limited action.
He will get his test this weekend and have yet another chance to prove himself

The crafty right hander throws strikes and works fast and has great movement.
All keys to success.
He could be the difference in this series.

Advantage Gold
