Men’s Baseball Benefit from Transfers

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Men's Baseball pitching staff will benefit from a pair of NJCAA transfers after Logan Ion (LaSalle, ON/Sandwich) and Finn Pace (Tecumseh, ON/L'Essor) returned home and committed to the 2026 roster.

Ion is a 6'6" RHP who spent the last two years stateside starting with an Ohio Community College title with Cuyahoga CC (Highland Hills, OH) in 2024-25 and then put in a season at Macomb CC (Warren, MI) helping them to a Michigan Community College Eastern Conference Championship in 2025-26 which was their first since 1987.  He has been a part of the Windsor Selects program for several years and played Summer Collegiate loops in the US over the past two off-seasons.

St. Clair Pitching Coach Kareem Kobrosli said of Ion, "Logan is a power arm who aggressively attacks hitters, and he can make a huge impact right away. His maturity and confidence bring huge value to our staff which will immediately translate to an upgrade on the mound.  We are extremely excited to have him on our staff."

Ion will be enrolled in St. Clair's Sport and Recreation Management program beginning this fall.

Pace is a 6'2" RHP and was a part of the Macomb CC program this past year while also being a Windsor Selects product.  He was a multi-sport athlete at L'Essor earning MVP honours in volleyball and badminton as well as baseball.  Pace follows in the footsteps of his mother Delanie (Campbell) who helped the Saints to pair of team cross-country silver medals in 1995 and 1996.

Kobrosli said of Pace, "Finn is also a power arm with a 3+ pitch arsenal, and he can throw everything for strikes.  Finn is extremely coachable with a willingness to learn and push his limits to improve.  We cannot wait to see him develop even more over his time at St. Clair."

Pace has chosen to pursue a diploma in St. Clair's Fitness and Health Promotion program.

St. Clair Head Coach Tristan Bouchat praised the additions by saying, "Being able to sign two veteran pitchers from a Top 25 program is a big win for our program.  Both Finn and Logan can have an instant impact and will continue to bolster our rotation this fall.  We are thrilled to add these two."
