Women's Softball Get Boost After Signing Kana
Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Women's Softball team is excited to announce the signing of catcher/utility player Taylor Kana (Springfield, ON) in time for the 2025 season.
The 5'10" soon to be East Elgin SS (Aylmer, ON) graduate has some high-level club experience with the UTM program but began close to home with the Springfield Brewers earning ten MVP awards over the last three summers. Kana was part of a Provincial Championship squad in 2024 in addition to several tournament titles in Ontario as well as stateside. She is also an accomplished Javelin athlete and placed 4th at OFSAA last spring.
Kana will be enrolled in St. Clair's Protection, Security and Investigation program beginning this fall.
New St. Clair Head Coach Dwayne Dawson praised the signing saying, "Taylor comes to the Saints from a very strong UTM program where she contributes defensively on the field at many positions including catcher and outfield. She is also a very strong offensive player who hits for average and power. Taylor is expected to be a strong contributor and have an immediate impact on the field for the Saints."
