Women's Softball Add Local Commit
Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Women's Softball team is pleased to announce the commitment of local standout Emily Owen (Windsor, ON/Holy Names) to the 2026 roster.
Owen is a 5'7" utility player who has enjoyed time at the shortstop position for the Lasalle Athletics and Windsor Wildcats club teams having helped her squad to a Bronze Medal at the Eastern Canadian Championship. She is on the Honour Roll and a Student Athlete Award recipient at Holy Names. As proof of her athleticism, Owen is also a member of the Windsor Wildcats Hockey U18 team.
Owen will be enrolled in St. Clair's Four-Year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program beginning this fall.
St. Clair Head Coach Dwayne Dawson praised Owen by saying, "Emily is a high caliber, talented athlete who plays multiple sports at a very competitive level. Having coached her the past two seasons, I am very excited to have her join our program. Emily's versatility in the field combined with her strength at the plate will be big benefits. I see her competing for a starting role as well as providing us depth at multiple positions. We look forward to continuing to work with her and make our Saints team stronger."
