Saints Take on Skyhawks in Football Home Opener

Windsor, ON – The defending OFC Champions are back at Acumen Stadium for the 2024 Home Opener this Saturday, August 24th to take on the Quinte Skyhawks. The Saints and Skyhawks are both 1-0 heading into the game after the Saints handled London 37-7, while Quinte defeated GTA 20-0. Kick-off is set for 7:00pm.

After another undefeated regular season in 2023, the Saints are looking forward to another promising season ahead. Leading the Saints are three All-Canadian returnees in Quarterback Maurice Sodja (Louisville, Kentucky), Wide Receiver Javier Lewis (Toronto, ON), and Linebacker Carl Fabre (Windsor, ON).

The reigning OFC Offensive Rookie of the Year and All-Star Wide Receiver Darius France (Windsor, ON) will look to have an even bigger year in his second season. A key addition joining France at wideout is University of Guelph transfer Cameron St. Kitts-Park (Oshawa, ON). All-Star Running Back M.J Doyle-Marshall (Airdrie, AB) who already had a big first week, will look to continue his success running the ball behind a dominant Offensive Line. The O-Line will be led by Tyrone Gulam-Webber (St. Catherines, ON) who transferred to the Saints by way of the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Alongside Webber are three key returnees on the line: Jaden Caston (Windsor, ON), Marcus Stanley (Kingsville, ON) and Simon Keck (Halifax, NS).

On the defense, OFC All-Star Fabre will be joined by fellow 2023 OFC All-Stars Mo Ibraheem (Etobicoke, ON) and Billy Patterson Jr. (Windsor, ON). A new look Defensive Line who already wreaked havoc in London will be a scary matchup for those lining up on the opposite side of the ball. Defensive Ends Jaylin Burnett (South St. Paul, Minnesota) and Anthony Adams (Pickering, ON) are two must watch players who transferred from North Dakota State College and the University of Western. Clogging up the middle is Kendy Montoban (Paris, France) who comes to St. Clair by way of the NFL Academy.

If you can't make it to the Home Opener, there is no need to worry. The Saints will be back at home for the Homecoming game Saturday, September 7th at 7:30pm against the Hamilton Hurricanes. See ticket prices for game below.
