Bio
Seguin started with the Men's Basketball program in the 2015-16 season and worked his way up from team manager into an assistant coach role for three years before being named Co-Head Coach prior to the 2018-19 campaign. He takes a lead role in player development and in-game management functions for the Saints.
He has helped guide the Men’s Basketball team to the playoffs each season and to the OCAA Provincial Championship tournament five times to go with two CCAA National Championship appearances. Under his direction the Saints earned a Provincial and National Silver Medal in the 2021-22 season followed by OCAA Gold in 2022-23 to go with an OCAA Bronze Medal in 2024-25.
Entering the 2025-26 season he along with Co-Head Coach Matt Sykes have the 2nd highest regular season winning % in Men’s Basketball program history at 77-26 (.748) and their 133 overall wins also ranks 2nd all-time. Together they have the most playoff wins in program history with a 16-9 record in the post-season.
Seguin is a LaSalle, ON native and competed for Sandwich Secondary in baseball and basketball. He graduated from both the Business Accounting and Business Administration Marketing programs at St. Clair College. During that time he also competed for two seasons with the Saints Varsity Men's Baseball team that won a CIBA National Championship in 2012 along with an OCAA Provincial Championship and a combined OUA/OCAA Championship in 2013.
Seguin was a student leader with the Student Athletic Association at St. Clair College serving as the Board's President in 2014. He was a recipient of the Atlas Tube Canada Scholarship (2014), Bob Pedler Real Estate Scholarship (2013), won the St. Clair College Board of Governors Award as the Intramural Athlete of the Year (2012-2013) in addition to earning the Award of Distinction for combined Intramural/Varsity participation in athletics (2014-15). He was also an OCAA All-Academic Award recipient in 2012-13.
