Men's Volleyball Add Top Local Recruits

(Windsor, ON) The St. Clair College Department of Athletics and men's volleyball program is pleased to announce the signing of six local recruits for the 2025-26 season. The men that will be joining the program are Cole Martineau, Shaban Alaliwi, Brandon Wiebe, Logan Hensen, Tyler Ray, and Charlie Au.

Martineau is a 6'7 middle from Leamington where he will be graduating from Leamington District Secondary School. Cole has club experience with Sky Volley. Martineau will be taking the three year Business Administration Finance program.

Alaliwi is a 6'4 outside hitter who hails from Windsor where he is on track to graduate from Holy Names this spring. With the Knights he was a WECSSAA champion back to back and was named the top offensive player.  Shaban also plays club for Sky Volley Windsor. Alaliwi will be studying the three year Business Administration Finance program.

Wiebe is a 6'6 outside hitter from Wheatley where he is graduated from Leamington District Secondary School where the school won WECSSAA, SWOSSAA, and qualified for OFSSAA placing 10th in the province. Wiebe will be enrolled in the three year Business Administration Accounting program.

Hensen is a 6'7 middle from Kingsville and is graduating from Erie Migration Secondary School. Logan has played club with the Sky Volley program and will be taking the Mechanical Engineering Technician - Industrial Millwright program at St. Clair.

Ray is a 6'4 outside hitter from Tecumseh and is scheduled to graduate from St. Anne's this spring. Tyler has also played with the Sky Volley program for several years. Ray will be enrolled in the three your Business Administration Finance program.

Au is a 5'7 libero from Windsor is graduating from Assumption High School.  Charlie has been with Sky Volleyball for 4 years where he won an OVA Bronze medal in 2024. Au will be taking the Fitness and Health Promotion program.

Head coach Shawn Reaume is extremely pleased with this group of recruits for the future. "I am thrilled to be bringing the best local volleyball players to our program. They all bring a passion to the game and are committed to volleyball, which will be hugely valuable on and off the court as we look to graduate many seniors this coming season. I'm confident that with this group added to the current roster, we will remain competitive and challenge for a championship for years to come."

The Saints struggled during the regular season this past year going 6-12 and finishing in 8th place in the tough OCAA West Division. However, St. Clair got hot in the playoffs upsetting the 1st seed in the East and 4th in the West making it to the OCAA Final Four before ending the year 4th in the province.
