Women's Basketball Sign Hamilton Standout

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Women's Basketball team is pleased to announce the signing of 5'4" guard Beatrice Clausen (Hamilton, ON) who will begin with the Saints in the fall of 2025.

Clausen is graduating from Hamilton's Cathedral High School where she helped them to the 2023 OFSAA AAA Basketball Gold Medal in addition to competing in Rowing and Tennis.  Her club experience has been with the Ancaster Blitz where she won a pair of youth championships as well as an Ontario Basketball League (OBL) Division title in 2021.

Saints Head Coach Andy Kiss was excited about the new addition stating, "Beatrice is a dynamic, left-handed, high character combo guard who can play the point position.  She is an above-average perimeter shooter and a stout on-ball defender."

Kiss added, "Her high school pedigree is literally the 'Gold Standard' having been a part of OFSAA "AAA" championship achievements during Cathedral's three-year run of dominance.  She capably took on the mantle of leadership with her 2024 Cathedral squad and currently quarterbacks the OBX U19 G-Elite Ancaster Blitz.  Bea will have an opportunity to earn a top role with the 2025-26 edition of the Saints and we are thrilled to bring her aboard."

Clausen will be enrolled in St. Clair's Pre-Health Science program starting this fall.
