St. Clair Women's Basketball Sign Chatham Standout
Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Women's Basketball program kicked off their 2026 recruiting class with a bang after earning the commitment of Sophie Wilkins (Chatham, ON).
Wilkins is a 5'7" guard graduating from Chatham-Kent Secondary this year who honoured her twice as the Senior Girls Basketball team MVP for the Golden Hawks. Her ten years of club experience includes time with the Chatham Wildcats where she was a 3-time MVP as well as the Tecumseh Saints and Team 519. She was part of a 3rd place team in the 2025 Basketball Ontario G-Elite League in addition to winning Division 4 Gold at the U14 and U16 levels. No stranger to top competition, Wilkins took Bronze in Division 1 with her U17 squad in 2024 and participated in the Ontario Summer Games.
St. Clair Head Coach Andy Kiss was thrilled by the commitment saying, "Sophie plays with an edge and has good length for a guard. We see her having an impact as a 2/3 guard in our system and are excited for what she can bring to our squad. She is great start to our 2026 recruiting class."
Wilkins will be studying in St. Clair's Child and Youth Care program beginning this coming fall.
