Women's Basketball Pickup OUA Transfer
Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Women's Basketball team is happy to announce the commitment of OUA transfer Maya Fuerth (Windsor, ON / St. Joseph's) leading into the 2026-27 season.
Fuerth is a 5'9" guard and spent the last two years at Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo, ON) appearing in the Golden Hawks starting lineup for 14 games during the 25-26 season while averaging 6.5 points per game. Before that she was part of an OFSAA Silver Medal team with St. Joseph's and was also a WECSSAA All-City selection as well as the MVP. On the club side Fuerth competed with the Tecumseh Saints achieving Basketball Ontario championships with those squads. Academically, she was an Honour Roll student at St. Joseph's and will be furthering her education in St. Clair's Fitness and Health Promotion program.
St. Clair Head Coach Andy Kiss raved about Fuerth saying, "Maya has an old school vibe to her game with an inside-outside skill set. She has excellent footwork and finishing skills with a willingness to play off contact in the paint. She has legit three-point range as well. Maya is also a stout defender and can guard multiple positions."
"Maya is a fantastic pick up for us and we are excited to see what the next chapter in her career holds while wearing our green and gold," finished Kiss.
