Women's Soccer Add Four Top Local Recruits

(Windsor, ON) The St. Clair College Department of Athletics and women's soccer program are pleased to announce the commitment of four top local recruits for the upcoming season. Olivia Broclawik, Laila Guenette, Gabriella Acosta and Mackenzie Doll will be joining the team starting in September 2026.
 
Broclawik is from Windsor and is graduating from St. Joseph's this spring. Olivia is a 5'3" defender who will be enrolled in the Honours Bachelor of Applied Arts in Social Justice & Legal Studies Degree. Brolawik has an extensive amount of successful club experience with the Tecumseh OPDL program.
 
Olivia is excited to join the St. Clair program. "St. Clair College stood out to me for its high-level soccer program that challenges players while supporting their academic success." 
 
Guenette is from Windsor and attends St.  Joseph's where she was named an All City All Star. Laila is a 5'1" striker who will be taking the Pre-Health Science program with plans to advance to the Bachelor of Nursing Degree. Guenette also has a large amount of club experience including time with Caboto, Liverpool FC and Tecumseh United in the OPDL.
 
Laila is looking forward to her time as a Saint. "I chose St. Clair College because it offers an excellent nursing program while giving me the opportunity to continue playing competitive soccer. Being able to stay home while pursuing my dream to become as nurse and play the sport I love was an easy decision for me. St. Clair College provides the balance I was looking for to grow both as a student and athlete."
 
Acosta is from Amhertsburg and is graduating from St. Thomas of Villanova. Gabriella is a 5'5" forward who will be enrolled in the Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (ICT) Degree program. Acosta has an extensive amount of successful club experience with Tecumseh in the OPDL.
 
Gabriella is looking forward to joining Saints Nation. "I chose St. Clair because from day one I felt truly welcomed and believed in. I'm extremely grateful for this opportunity and excited to work hard, grow both on and off the field, and continue my academic and soccer journey while proudly representing the Saints."
 
Doll is from LaSalle and is graduating from St. Thomas of Villanova this spring. Mackenzie is a 5'8" forward who will be enrolled in the Biomedical Engineering Technology program. Doll has an extensive amount of successful club experience with the Tecumseh OPDL program as well and was named a First Team High School All Star.
 
Mackenzie is excited to join the St. Clair program. ""I chose St. Clair College because not only is it close to home and I am able to pursue my academic goals in a supportive and engaging environment but I will also have the opportunity to continue competing in the sport that I love.  From the very beginning, the coaches and team have made me feel welcome, and I am confident that St. Clair is the right place for me to grow both personally and athletically throughout my academic journey."
 
Head Coach Steve Vagnini is pleased to add these four women to the program. "Each of these ladies brings something special to this team. They know each other well and have been playing at a high level for a long time. It was important for us to sign all of these ladies because the last time we signed a bunch of women from the same team, it resulted in a provincial championship."
 
The Saints outdoor team finished in first place in the OCAA West Division this past season with a record of 7 wins, 0 losses and 3 ties and went on to win their first OCAA Championship since 1988 before advancing to CCAA Nationals where they finished in 4th  place
