The St. Clair Women's volleyball team narrowly missed out on qualifying for the OCAA Final Four Championship losing a tight quarterfinal match to the Durham Lords on Saturday afternoon at the Sportsplex 3-2 in a front of a packed crowd.
Set scores for Durham were 25-12, 13-25, 17-25, 25- 15 and 15-12
St. Clair was led by second year middle Geneva Huisman (Amherstburg; Marantha) with 15 kills with a .444 kill percentage, 5 service aces and 2 stuff blocks. Rookie outsider hitter Brianne Hobbin (Guelph; Centennial CVI) also had a big match as well with 16 kills, 1 service ace, 1 stuff block and 15 digs.
The Saints ended the regular season with a record of 16-2 and in 2nd place in the West Division while the Lords were 14-4 and tied for 2nd in the East Division.
