(WINDSOR, ON) The St. Clair College women's volleyball team opened their OCAA home schedule on Saturday afternoon by defeating the Fanshawe Falcons 3-1. Set scores for St. Clair were 23-25, 25-8, 25-23, and 25-19.
Third year middle Geneva Huisman (Amherstburg; Maratha) led the way offensively for the Saints with 13 kills, 3 service aces and 2 stuff blocks. Second year outside hitter Brianne Hobbin (Guelph; Centennial CVI) also had a big game with 13 kills, 5 service aces and 6 digs. Setter Emma Clements (Windsor; Holy Names) had a great match as well dishing out 38 assists and adding 1 kill, 1 service ace, 1 stuff block and 11 digs.
The Saints improved to 3-0 on the season while Fanshawe dropped to 1-2. The Saints are ranked 2nd in Ontario while the Falcons are ranked 9th
