Women's Volleyball Lock Up Second Place

(Welland, ON)  The St. Clair College women's volleyball team continued their OCAA schedule on Saturday afternoon defeating the Niagara College Knights 3-0 in Welland. Set scores for St. Clair were 25-23, 25-20, and 25-21.

It was a solid team effort for the women with four players scoring 9 or more points. Middle Geneva Huisman (Amherstburg; Maranatha Christian Academy) led the way offensively for the Saints with 9 kills, 1 stuff block, and 1 service ace. 

The Saints improved to 14-2 on the season while Niagara dropped to 10-6. Niagara is currently ranked 6^th in Ontario while the Saints are 2^nd in Ontario and 11^th in Canada. With the win the Saints are now locked into second place in the OCAA West division with 2 matches remaining.

 St. Clair is next in action on Friday, January 31 at 8 pm when they host Redeemer University at the Sportsplex.
