The St. Clair College men's varsity soccer team open their OCAA regular season this weekend at Acumen Stadium with a pair of matches at home.
The Saints will be hosting the Redeemer University Royals on Saturday at 2:30 pm. The Royals were 3-7-0 last season and ended up in 6th place in the OCAA West Division.
On Sunday St. Clair will take on Mohawk at 3:00 pm who finished in 7th place with a record of 2-6-2.
The Saints men ended the 2023 season with a record of 7-2-1 in 3rd place and hosted the CCAA Nationals winning Bronze, the first ever national medal for the men's soccer program.
St. Clair lost a significant portion of its roster to graduation but some key returnees are Thomas Saba (Leamington; Cardinal Carter), Patrick Maheux (Amherstburg; Villanova) and Seve Oglan (Windsor; St. Joseph's)
Some key new additions are University of Windsor transfers Brandon Gaudreau (Keeper; Windsor; St. Joseph's) and Nico Gualtieri (Forward; Kingsville; Cardinal Carter).
