Men's Volleyball Split Weekend Matches

The St. Clair College men's volleyball team opened up their OCAA second semester home schedule with a win and a loss.

On Saturday, St. Clair took on the Cambrian Golden Shield (Sudbury) and fell 3-0. Set scores for the Cambrian were 25-21, 25-19, and 25-21. 

Nolan Comartin (Stoney Point; Pain Court) led the way for the Saints with 8 kills (.238 kill %), 1 service ace and 2 digs. Cambrian's record is now 9-4 on the year.

On Sunday afternoon, the Saints hosted College Boreal (Sudbury) and came away with a solid 3-0 win. Set scores for St. Clair were 25-20, 25-22, and 25-23.

Arthur Richard (Woodstock; Woodstock Collegiate) had a solid match with 8 kills, 2 service aces, 1 stuff block and 4 digs.  Boreal's record dropped to 0-13 with the loss.

The Saints are now 5-10 on the season and in a playoff position in 8th place.

St. Clair is next in action on Saturday, January 25 when they travel to Welland to take on the Niagara Knights at 3 pm.
