Women's Volleyball to Play for OCAA Championship Saturday Night

The St. Clair Women's Volleyball team will play for OCAA Gold on Saturday evening at the OCAA Championship. The Championship is being hosted by Seneca Polytechnic at their King Campus just north of Toronto,
The Saints defeated the Durham Lords 3-1 on Friday night to quality for the Championship match. Set scores for St. Clair were 22-25, 25-16, 26-24 and 25-12. Harley Smith was named the Player of the Game from the Saints.
 
St. Clair will be facing the Humber Hawks at 6 pm on Saturday night.
St. Clair finished first in the OCAA West Division with a record of 14-2. The Hawks were second in the West with a record of 14-2. The Saints defeated the Hawks twice by identical scores of 3-1 during the regular season. Humber are the 4 time defending champions from the OCAA.
 
The Saints fell to the Hawks 3-1 last year in the Gold Medal match at Humber. St. Clair is looking for their first gold medal in women's volleyball since 1997.
 
The Gold medal winner will advance to the CCAA Championship in Niverville, Manitoba from March 9-14.
