Men's Volleyball Headed to Provincial Championship

The St. Clair men's volleyball team is off to Sudbury to take part in the OCAA Championship to continue their Cinderella playoff run. The event is being hosted by Cambrian College on February 22 & 23.

The Saints will be taking on host Cambrian on Saturday at 6 pm in the second semi-final match of the day. The winner will advance to the Gold Medal game on Sunday at 3:30 pm while the loser will play for Bronze on Sunday at 1:00 pm.  The Humber Hawks are taking on the Fanshawe Falcons in the other semi-final at 3:30 pm. The winner of the Gold Medals will advance to the CCAA Championship being hosted by Providence University College in Niverville, Manitoba.

St. Clair will be looking for their second medal in team history after winning an OCAA Silver in 2015.

The St. Clair men ended the regular season in 8th place in the West Division with a record of 6-12 while Cambrian finished in 2nd place in the West Division with a record of 14-4 . The Shield are ranked 4th in Ontario and 15th in Canada while the Saints are unranked. Cambrian defeated St. Clair twice during the regular season by scores of 3-0 both times.
